childlike joy-rolling down hills (HOYT ARBORETUM)

Rolling down hills together- the biggest we can find. I can’t think of a better way to spend a work break.

The Hoyt Arboretum (I believe I’m spelling that correctly) is truly a sight to behold. It is immersive and fantastical, the air is so so so thick with plant life. Every breath feels like your first on earth! That kinda freshness! it WAS MY FIRST INTRODUCTION TO TREE NURSERIES. BEING IN THE BEAUTIFUL VEGETATION OF OREGON, THE INTENSITY OF IT ALL FELT EVEN MORE AMPLIFIED (SOMEHOW). IT IS SO RELIEVING TO FEEL SO SMALL IN A SPACE NOT LIMITED BY WALLS. BUT STILL A CONTAINED SPACE; THE ENRGY PROTECTED BY IT BEING THERE. TREES SUPPORTING AS COLLUMNS, THE SKY AS OUR CEILING.

This hill was so so so steep though….. and I realized the fragility of a human body on a hill!! I guess it felt more organic from a younger self. so I’ll throw myself down these hills till I’m too feeble to walk to them
